Pacific County Historical Society Blog Created

I've created this blog to share my experiences as a member of the Board of the Pacific County (WA) Histocial Society (PCHS).

This is the first in a series of blog messages. I expect this will be a learning experience for me as well as my readers, who are invited to share their views to this (currently) unmoderated blog. Remember, your comments will appear as you sublit them, for all to read.

If you want to gain quick and easy access to this blog, simply bookmark or copy the following address:

http://www.pchsblog.blogspot.com/

Hopefully, it will serve as a regular update on history-related activities of the Pacific County Historical Society, and related organizations, and is an addition to other member and public communications measures, such as the quarterly Sou'wester, periodic President's newsletter, Visitor's Bureau, museum, book store, library, archives, member meetings, etc.

Please offer your comments so we can continue to better serve your needs.

All Board members, staff, volunteers, and members are invited to contribute material for this blog (subject only to minimal limitations pertaining to good taste, etc.), and, as long as such self-controls are observed, the blog will remain unmoderated.

Hello. I'm Steve Rogers, president of the Pacific County Historical Society. Although I've only been involved with the Society for a few years I've developed a real passion for the Society and local history.

We have a solid board of directors who genuinely care about preserving Pacific County history and our accomplishments over the past couple of years have been significant.

Our museum, located in downtown South Bend, WA is a treasure trove of Pacific County history.

I'm a retired high school principal and English teacher and this is my first experience with a blog. Thanks, Ken, for setting it up.

We'd love to hear from our patrons and welcome suggestions for improving our work.
